Missions

"...You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Missions

Brazos Meadows began as a mission of First Baptist Woodway and we have been "mission minded" since the beginning.  We believe the very reason we exist is to join God on his mission in the world.  We do this by following the model that Jesus spoke of in Acts 1:8, where he said, "...you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Our "Jerusalem," our home area, is our workplaces and neighborhoods. It certainly includes Hewitt, but we have students and families from 7 school districts who attend Brazos, so "Jerusalem" is pretty big for us.  "Samaria" refers to some crossing of cultural boundaries and includes ministries such as the Brookside Apartment ministry and our outreach at the HOT Fair.  "All Judea" are the areas of our county that extend far beyond our location, including helping our sister churches - Zion Hill, Maranatha, and Mold Breakers, as well as BOUNCE and Embrace Grace ministries.  The "ends of the earth" we are currently focused on are primarily in Mexico, and mission partners that we support around the globe.

Below you can find more information on these endeavors and how you can participate as we go into the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Brazos prays and gives to several missionaries, churches, and mission agencies each year, in addition to our gifts to the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program.
